Adopt-a-Family

Our Adopt-a-Family program has been an ongoing tradition for many, many years.  It begins with an out-of-uniform day for a dollar donation.  The 5th graders are responsible for making and selling something to the students at the Seton Campus.  This year, 5th graders made over 1,000 buttons that were then sold for a dollar.  At the St. Andrew Campus the 8th graders are responsible for running a bake sale and cake auction.  This year students baked and decorated over 30 amazing cakes of which several sold for over $200!  The cake auction alone raised over $3,000.

With the money raised from both campuses, our 8th grade students shop, wrap and deliver the gifts to the families.  This year we will be helping over 10 families and 30 children have a Merry Christmas!

The generosity and enthusiasm of our students is overwhelming. They are encouraged to participate but never pressured to give what they do not wish to give. Charity is not when money is taken from individuals and redistributed, but rather when one freely wishes to give out of love for neighbor.  Adopt-a-Family is an incredible event that reveals the true generosity of SASEAS School students and families.
