Week of October 17, 2016
Religion - We are studying the Sacrament of Baptism. We will be discussing that Baptism freed us from sin and we become children of God. Because of our Baptism, we have hope of eternal life.
Language Arts - N0 WoW word, prompt, or spelling packet this week! Instead, we will be reading more of the book, From the Mixed Up Files of Mrs. basil E. Frankweiler. We should be close to finishing the book by the end of the week. In English, we will be going over the meanings of singular and plural possessive nouns. We will continue our study of nouns by identifying the subject of a given sentence, as well as, nouns used as objects of a prepositional phrase.
Social Studies - We are continuing our coverage of Native Americans by studying the people who lived on the plains and those who lived in the Southwest or West. The main idea in these lessons has to do with how these people adapted and used their environment.
