Extra Curricula Activites: I am a member of the Right to Read Week planning team.  I especially look forward to implementing our plans this year. In order to celebrate Catholic Schools Week and each student’s accomplishments, I display each student’s best artwork.  This art exhibit is displayed for at least two weeks.

I also give students opportunities to participate in art competitions.

Alumni of: West Liberty State College

Professional Experience: This is my ninth year at SASEAS School.  For the past eight years I have participated in the Cincinnati Art Museum’s “Evenings for Educators.”  These inspiring and informative programs are presented once a month and expose me to new education techniques as well as giving me local arts information that I can pass along to my students.  During the summer, the museum offers the “Summer Teachers Institute”, which I have attended for several years now.  This program helps me plan for the new school year.  The Cincinnati Art Museum gives me opportunities to meet with local teachers, curators, and artists.

I am happy to be a Cincinnatian.  However, I grew up in Belpre, Ohio and Parkersburg, West Virginia.

The past three years have brought many changes to my life.  I married my husband, Mark and then we welcomed our nephew into the world.  This summer we moved into our first home.

When I am not working on school-related activities, I enjoy hand crafting my own greeting cards, spending time with family and friends, reading mystery novels and magazines, decorating and organizing our home, traveling, exercising, and eating my husband’s cooking.  I also like to try different restaurants and cuisines.
