The students will also complete topic 2 lesson 4, which covers the Byzantine Empire. Following this section, the students will prepare for an assessment that will cover topic 2 lessons 1-4.
7th Grade Social Studies
This week the students will complete their study of chapter 9. They will be looking at the War of 1812 in depth, including the battle that inspired our National Anthem. The students must demonstrate their knowledge of the Star-Spangled Banner on a quiz on Tuesday. The test over chapter 9 will take place on Friday, 12/14.
8th Grade Social Studies
The students have been learning about the American criminal justice system over the past several weeks. This week we are going to put the students' knowledge to the test by taking part in two mock trials. The students will each have a part to play, including lawyer, judge, witness, defendant, bailiff, and jury member. It should be a fun way to put our learning to the test!
