Below you will find what we will be working on for the next week.

In August we will be working on some introductory activities. I will be giving each student their log-in information for the online textbook and we will explore all of the amazing resources available to them both in the textbook and online.
We will begin our journey into Eastern Hemisphere geography by looking at some basic information about geography.

Our first week of school will begin with some housekeeping information, include getting our textbooks and log-in for the online textbook. This year our social studies class will focus on early American history. We will spend the first week reviewing colonization.

The 8th graders will spend the first half of the year studying civics. We will use the first week of school to take care of some introductory activities as well as examining what Americans value and what it means to be a citizen of the United States. In a few weeks we will begin the process of choosing candidates for political convention. Look for information soon about this fun and educational 8th grade event.
