I grew up in the great state of New York. I was born on Long Island and then moved to a small town in upstate NY, (between Syracuse and Utica) when I was about 7. I attended the University of Dayton and graduated in 1985 with a B.S in Elementary Education and have called Cincinnati home ever since. In my “first life” of teaching, I taught 2nd grade at Guardian Angels in Mount Washington. My husband Joe and I have been married for 31 years. We have 3 amazing children and one great son-in-law; Abby (29) and Cy, Hannah (27) and Nick (24). We also have one crazy golden-doodle, Bailey, who at 60lbs thinks she is a lap dog!
We have been members of St. Andrew Parish since 1988. Our children attended SASEAS School and we couldn’t have been happier with our decision to provide them a Catholic education in a place where both the academics and the Catholic faith formation were equally important. After being blessed to be at home with our children for 13 years, a position opened up in 4th grade here and I was thrilled to be able to join forces with the incredible team of teachers that gave so much to my own children.
This year marks my 17th year here at SASEAS School. I have spent 14 of those years in 4th grade, and three in 3rd. This, along with my 3 years at G.A makes for 20 years in Catholic Education. I can't imagine teaching any where but here! I am grateful for the opportunities I have each day to interact with your children. Being a part of their growth and develop academically, as well as guiding them to grow as Children of God is an honor and privilege that I thank God for daily! It's not just about what I teach them, but what I LEARN from them along the way.
