Classroom Rules
1. Be On Time
2. Have EVERYTHING you need for class EVERY DAY.
3. Be courteous, and respectful to all who are in this class.
4. Follow all procedures and guidelines

Procedures and Guidelines
1. Be in your assigned seat and working on the assigned bell work when the bell rings.
2. Follow directions the first time they are given.
3. Treat each person in this room with respect and dignity.
Be respectful, be responsible, be a LEADER.
Student Responsibility Form: This is for students who do not have the assigned homework
  • Get a sheet from the binder
  • Fill it out – BE SPECIFIC
  • Sign and date it
  • Return it to the binder.
Missing Assignments Procedure
-Students will come in during recess to work on assignment not finished by due date.
-If not complete: demerit is issued and the student will work on the assignment again at recess that day.
-Third and fourth late assignments will result in a demerit.
-Every late assignment after the fourth will result in a detention.
Grading Policy
  • Students are graded on straight points.  
  • Quizzes and tests will have more questions than homework assignments and class work and  therefore will be worth more points.
  • For example, a 40 question test will be worth 40 points in the grade book.  Short answer and essay questions will be assigned more points on tests and quizzes -  A ten question short answer/essay quiz will be worth more than 10 points.
  • Most writing assignments will be graded on a 100 point scale using a rubric.  Shorter assignments will be worth less points - but still graded using a rubric.  
  • Students receive a copy of the rubric being used to score a writing assignment before they begin the assignment. 
Please expect responses to emails as soon as possible.  Responses will not take longer than 24 hours.  If you have not heard back from me within a 24 hour period, please email me again or call the school office.
