Classroom Policies and Procedures

Classroom Rules

1. Be on time.
2. Have EVERYTHING you need for class EVERY DAY.
3. Be courteous and respectful to all who are in this class.
4. Follow all procedures and guidelines.


Procedures and Guidelines
1. Be in your assigned seat and working on the assigned tasks.
2. Follow directions the first time they are given.
3. Treat each person in this room with respect and dignity.


Student Responsibility Form: This is for students who do not have the assigned homework
  • Get a sheet from the teacher
  • Fill it out – BE SPECIFIC
  • Sign and date it
  • Return it to the teacher

Missing Assignments Procedure
  • Students will come in during recess to work on the assignment not finished by the due date.
  • If the assignment is not complete by the next day, a demerit is issued and the student will work on the assignment again during recess.
  • Third and fourth late assignments will result in a demerit.
  • Every late assignment after the fourth will result in a detention.

Grading Policy
  • Students are graded using a point system.  
  • Tests and most quizzes will have more questions than homework assignments and class work and  therefore will be worth more points. Point values will be assigned based on number of questions and difficulty. 
  • For Language Arts, most large writing assignments will be equivalent to a large test grade (70 - 100 points).

Please expect responses to emails as soon as possible.  Responses will not take longer than 24 hours.  If you have not heard back from me within a 24 hour period, please email me again or call the school office.
